Bridges Cottage, a one-bedroom romantic dwelling, is situated in the picturesque village of St Marychurch near the Devonshire coastline.
Lying close to the beautiful Babbacombe Bay and within walking distance to some of Devon’s best attractions, the cottage welcomes two guests, perfect for a couple’s retreat.
Whilst some of the original features within Bridges Cottage have been preserved, the property has a contemporary feel, furnished with stunning slate flooring on the ground floor and an array of state-of-the-art appliances.
Enjoying an open-plan interior, you’ll arrive at a wall-mounted TV, a small kitchen boasting white fitted units and wooden worktops, and an inviting dining table, perfect to relax around, enjoy a meal for two, and plan your itinerary.
You’ll also locate a separate snug with a sofa bed to offer an alternative space to unwind.
Head outside to the rear patio to take in the Devonshire sunshine, a wonderful place for alfresco dining in warmer months.
Upstairs you’ll find a double bedroom, finished with plush bedding and ample storage space for you to store your personal items, which is serviced by a contemporary bathroom with both a bath and shower, ideal for a long soak or a quick refresh.
Devon’s St Marychurch is choc-a-bloc full of excellent cafés, award winning tearooms and restaurants, and let's not forget the traditional fishmongers shop in the precinct, a greengrocer, bakery, and butcher's shop, all part of the charm of this traditional part of Torquay! Why not pop into the precinct or stroll along Babbacombe Downs where you will find the famous Victorian cliff railway.
The nearby town of Brixham has a delicious selection of the freshest fish and seafood which arrives daily at the thriving Fish Market.
On your travels you will also find Babbacombe Model Village, spanning over four acres of award-winning gardens, along with St Marychurch’s two historic church towers which dominate the Torquay skyline.

The living areas in this property consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, and TV, and a snug with sofa bed and TV. The bedroom consists of a double, serviced by a bathroom. Outside there is a rear patio with furniture, and off road parking. You'll find a shop and a pub in 0.1 miles, and the beach in 0.6 miles. This is a smoke-free property. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Bridges Cottage is a romantic base to explore the Devonshire shoreline.
