Lagrasse is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of France with its paved streets, its stone bridge and 8th century abbey, classified as an ´Historic Monument´. The ´Chanoines´ lived here since 2004.

Lagrasse is situated between Carcassonne and Narbonne, on the road of the Cathar castles. You can visit abbeys, medieval villages, bask by the river, try wine tasting etc ……



The gite is approximately 300 meters from the center of the village, which hosts a number of businesses (bakery, grocer's shop, tobacconist, café, restaurants, pharmacy, police).

‘The small holiday cottage of the river’ is an attractive apartment of 40 m ² with a terrace of 20 m ², situated at the edge of the village, above the river with a view of the abbey.



Everything is on the ground floor. The main entrance takes you through a magnificent wrought iron glass door into a corridor, which brings you to the front door of the small holiday cottage (staircases leads to the apartments of the owner).

The gite is made up of a main room that includes a well equipped kitchen (microwave, induction cooker, refrigerator, freezer, coffeepot, kettle, toaster, and utensils etc). A dining area with an old cupboard, wooden table and 4 chairs. The lounge area includes cloth sofa with coffee table and TV with DVD player.

To the left of the front door is the bedroom with a large double bed and a big cupboard. The bathroom which is separated into 2 rooms consists of a cabin shower, a washbasin and toilet.

The main room includes a glazed entrance which gives access to the terrace where there is a round table with chairs and 2 deckchairs to bask under the parasol or in the shade of trees with the river as background noise.

A private path leads from the terrace to the L’Orbieu river which is excellent for swimming.
