Golfers, be sure to pack your clubs as you’ll want to take advantage of Royal Lytham and Fairhaven Golf Club; or alternatively you can spend the day at neighbouring St Anne’s where you’ll find a Victorian pier, glorious sandy beach, and lively shopping centre. Further round the coast is the bustling seaside resort of Blackpool, home to the thrilling Pleasure Beach, Tower, Sandcastle Water Park, and Sea World to name but a few attractions. There’s also Blackpool Zoo which animal lovers are sure to appreciate.
Swapping the coast for countryside, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is accessible in around an hour’s drive, as is the southern Lake District National Park. You really are spoilt for choice!
