We stayed here for 10 days in May 2012. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity, surrounded by stunning countryside, this is the place to be! The house is lovely, combining old world charm with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. It is spacious, light and airy with beautiful views from the balcony - a great place to watch the sun setting behind the mountains. We also enjoyed taking our breakfast in the garden and sunbathing on the terrace, again taking in magnificent views.

Valloria is a beautiful old village - take a stroll around the ancient streets and admire the amazing painted doors or walk around the olive groves which were full of wild flowers whilst we were there. If you are lucky enough to find the one village restaurant open whilst you are there, you are in for a gastronomic treat! We ate 8 delicious courses, washed down by locally made red wine. There was no menu but this added to the pleasure as everything was a delicious surprise!

We also visited local towns and villages and enjoyed the serendipity of eating at small restaurants where food was good and typically Italian. It was always a pleasure returning to the peace of the village after visiting a larger town.

This was our first visit to Liguria and we hope it won't be our last - it really was a little piece of heaven!
